I use a solar still that holds 182 cubic feet of water. Which is best if I am in a life or death scenario and want as much water as possible:

A) a container to collect the rain and a pipe leading from there to the bowl closed by metal such as steel.

B) Same thing but closed by glass.

C) Bowl closed during sunny days until all the water is gone and then opened back up to collect the rain

D) Bowl not being closed and the metal pipe closest to the bowl being as large as possible without blocking sunlight or rainfall completely

Also how can I calculate the pressure in the tapering pipe?

the bowl itself is made of metal and so is the pipe.
