It all depends on individual context. Do you want to take this course for fun, or you wanna pursue a career in line with programming? There is usually no age discrimination in learning.

It is more an educational limit. If you have enough underlying education to understand the materials, go for it.

IMO, the hardest part of 6.00 is that it assumes math skills at about a pre-calculus level. Makes sense, they're aspiring engineers.
