hay i am currently an atheist but i want to become a Muslim can anyone please teach me how to convert and teach me your ways

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Muslim faith is a great faith, I've been researching it out of curiosity for a while now. Is there a reason why you are choosing the Muslim faith? I have found that for myself, that Christianity is right for my life right now, and if you're interested, I would love to share more about my beliefs as well as my church's beliefs. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i already went to a christian school and there all fake and a bunch of rich gossip kids but i really like muslims they just seem to be really happy all the time like they dont have any problems i guess i want happieness and i know i will never find that in christianity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I used to be a Christian and a happy Christian too, religion for me has had little for my happiness. I however want to analyse your reason for conversion to Islam. I myself am interested with the religion (Islam) and thinking of possible conversion in the future however I dislike what you have said about why you want to convert. Your conversion is purely based on emotionalism something a Muslim here has said is pointless. (1) I suggest you do some more research rather than go off your feelings. Islam clearly support taking your time to make your decision of belief. (2:256 in the Koran.) (1) http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/53584f26e4b017db97e3b9b6

Dr Zakir Naik is a Muslim apologist... Nothing good comes from apologists. While I disagree with @Yahoo! on his video he listed, I do agree you should checkout the Koran (Islam's holy book).

Happiness, pleasure, and desires are usually found anywhere; it’s all about how one wants their happiness to be. My happiness comes from having a strong Muslim faith, because the various aspects Allah swt used for nature and throughout his creation can also reflects upon our lives as well. I believe the path Allah chose us to follow is healthy and hygienic for our needs and desires. As for what you commented, not all Christian schools are “fake and a bunch of rich gossip kids,” you are misconducting the religion into judging the whole religion by how others chose to perceive. Loving Islam but not welcoming Christianity is odd, because Islam emerged to correct and strengthening Christianity. The definition of “Christian” in Islam’s view is alright but doesn’t adhere much to God, it’s all about believing in Jesus Christ and his teachings and getting baptized and all that. Muslim’s too believe in Jesus (peace be upon him), but glorifying him more than Allah isn’t their way of practicing their deity. The word “Muslim” simply means submitting to god. This is the main difference of Christianity and Islam, other than that their teachings are closely related :) To declare your conversion to Islam *Close your eyes and feel your inner-self *Intentionally with your full belief and honesty, admit to yourself that you are a Muslim by saying the testimony or “Shahada” “Ash-hadu an la ilaha ill Allah." In arabic Or “I bear witness that there is no diety but Allah” Performing Salat (prayers) in Islam is essential and by becoming a Muslim in this moment, one must start praying and fasting because this lunar month is the month of Ramadan. Keep in mind, once you convert to Islam, you are like a newborn baby. Your deeds start fresh and all the past bad deeds shouldn’t be bothered on anymore because they are all gone :) Good luck!

Whoa. Wow... wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. Before we start this, I respect everyone's beliefs, but I also don't want this guy to be fed information from one side, but both sides. So please do not take offense to any of this. First off, to you @kittycat123, God and Allah are not the same. So before getting into all this, please understand that. As @Zale101 was saying, that there is only one major difference between Islam and Christianity, is actually incorrect. There MANY differences between Islam and Christianity. For instance, Muslims do not get the idea of Trinity. And maybe some others, well, you don't. How can 1 be 3 in 1? Let's think of a flower. A flower's petals are connected to the stem. The petals are separate from each other, but are still part of the same flower. Same with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Many Muslims believe that Allah is only one and can only be one. Which I found to be pretty interesting because it's in the Quran, and so you can obviously see the difference between God and Allah. Another difference I would like to point out, which, might step on some toes, so I'm sorry if I do, but, it's interesting how the Quran teaches that Allah is so Divine, that he cannot possibly have children. He cannot "mate", in a sense, with humans and create children, yet God has a Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit, which Mary was a virgin. Hm. I also see that in the Quran, Jesus says these words: "I am a slave unto Allah, and He has given unto me the Scriptures and has made me a prophet." Wait, I thought Muhammad wrote the Quran. I thought he was given the Scriptures. I think I see a contradiction here. I thought I might point that out. So, this is just a small fraction here of this, and it's up to you to what you decide.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dont talk about the qu'ran like that if i remember correctly the bible also has so many mistakes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in genisis theres a whole chapter missing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then god said he created 2 people were created from him so where did the other town come from

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if god created animals and the devil created death why did god make us sacrifice the animals

OpenStudy (jumperman):

God uses even things that are evil to make things to His glory. I do not see how the Bible has mistakes. And like I said, I meant no disrespect. @kittycat123

OpenStudy (zale101):

Main difference is not the same as "one difference." Don't change my words. As I stated above, Islam worships in one god, and doesn't believe that God is separate persons. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is more than one figures. Islam disagrees that god became a human or a spirit so worshiping a human being "Jesus" as the lord is highly disagreed because in Islam Allah won't show himself to people as a "Human being." In my opinion, when people pray to God, we, irrepressibly, imagine a human being? So god, in our mind, is a human being? That is not the only reason, there's other reasons on why Islam doesn't believe that Jesus is God. Jesus is the son of god because he is close to God, Jesus is close to God because he is the messenger of God? Agree or disagree? I agree and I am going to conclude that: -Prophet Adam is the son of God because he is the messenger for God -God's prophets or messengers are son of God because they are the prophet's and the messengers for God. (Do a research on the Hebrew phrase "Son of God") and OUR father is GOD. Back then, the meaning of the phrases of "Son of" or "Our Father" were used differently from the literal meaning itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mF8htGpit2U#t=28 <---Ahmad Deedat Explain who is the Holy Spirit In Islam, when we see people refer to Jesus as the son of god, we don't claim Prophet Jesus as the biological son of God or God incarnate, no, we believe him to be as God's servant (servant of God). THEREFORE, we disagree with the concept of Jesus being God or a biological son of God. In Christianity, Jesus is God and if he is the son of God that means he is the only son/servant from all other prophets he sent to humanity which is untrue to Islam. When you stated that I was incorrect, from reading what you responded, you are basically debating about how Christianity disagrees with Islam's point of you on God. This is very controversial. So I'm assuming you are in for an argument here, in a post that was asked about "how to convert to Islam" and not "should I convert to Islam or Christianity. Go make a new thread if you are interested in debating :)

OpenStudy (jumperman):

You say, when we pray to God, we think of a human being. God created us in our image.

OpenStudy (zale101):

That is not how we do it in Islam.

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Then where does he idea of humans get created? They have to come from something.

OpenStudy (jumperman):

The*

OpenStudy (zale101):

That is not how we do it in Islam, by imagining a human being when we pray to God. The ideas of humans get created? Hmm, from where @Jumperman ?

OpenStudy (jumperman):

God created us in His image. Human beings are similar to God in image.

OpenStudy (arabpride):

Masha'Allah! ^-^*
