does anyone else have the problem where after they post a reply it won't let you erase what you previously typed in the reply box? I keep having to refresh the page when I want to reply again......

That would be the issue.
Internet Explorer has many bugs that both cause the auto-refresh on the webpages to be slower, and it can also cause your computer to run slower as well.
The most recommended browser to use is Google Chrome, for many reasons.

Another thing I've noticed with Internet Explorer is that there are almost constantly "bad" ads.
If you click any of those, they can put viruses on your computer and steal your information.

The most suggested solution to your problem is to download Google Chrome.
Google Chrome will not only speed up your internet experience, but it also has an ad-block and it makes the appearance of webpages much cleaner and nicer.
There are also fun extensions you can add that can be very helpful. (:
