Spinner 1 is divided into 4 spaces. Spinner 2 is divided into two colors, red and blue. Write the sample space for each of the following experiments: a. Spin spinner 1 once b. Spin spinner 2 once c. Spin spinner 1 once and then spin spinner 2 once d.Spin spinner 2 once and then roll a normal die e. Spin spinner 1 twice f. Spin spinner 2 twice
Here is what I got... a. S=[1,2,3,4] b. S=[Blue, Red] c. S=[1 Red, 1 Blue, 2 Red, 2 Blue, 3 Red, 3 Blue, 4 Red, 4 Blue} d. S= [1Red, 1Blue, 2 Red, 2 Blue, 3 Red, 3 blue, 4 red, 4 blue, 5 red, 5 blue, 6 red, 6blue] e. S=[ (1,1) (1,2) (1,3) (1,4) (2,1) (2,2) (2,3) (2,4) (3,1) (3,2) (3,3) (3,4) (4,1) (4,2) (4,3) (4,4) f. S= [ (Red Blue) (Blue Red) (Red Red) (Blue Blue) Can anyone confirm if this is correct?
yes in theory that is correct but do u kno if the teacher wants your answer in mathematical format where u wuld have to actually find the probability like for condition A the outcome would be 1/4 cuz u only had to spin the spinner once so thats 1 out of the 4 spaces? if so let me kno and I will show u how to do the others.
Nope I only need to show what the sample space would be for each situation.
thats correct
