Exams are good because they test how much knowledge a child is capable of. They are good because it helps determine how much a child can really understand and memorize stuffs. It's basically a test to challenge ourselves and to know our knowledge level.

And also through exams you tend to remember what you've learnt. If exams weren't there then all that you've studied would go in vain. :P
