whats does i,j,k mean in 6i-8j+10k

These are unit vectors. i, j, and k means amount in the x, y, and z directions. So if we just look at one of these, say i, this just means how many steps in the x direction. So if you were given -3i that means 3 steps to the left. If you were given 7i this means 7 steps to the right. If you have 7i+9j this means 7 steps to the right and 9 steps forward. 7i-8j+3k means 7 steps to the right, 8 steps backwards and 3 steps upwards (ok, imagine yourself flying 3 steps upwards!). Does this make sense?
