Which best explains why viruses do not have special structures or enzymes that allow them to make their own food?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.Viruses can use energy in living cells that they infect. B.Viruses can replicate inside a host that they infect. C.Viruses can cause contagious illnesses in host cells. D.Viruses integrate their RNA or DNA into infected cells.

OpenStudy (bioepic):

B.

OpenStudy (bioepic):

Right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you give an explanation on why you think it's B

OpenStudy (abhisar):

D is not correct for every virus.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I think it should be A

OpenStudy (bioepic):

Cuz viruses are only a protein coat and genetic material, and their genetic material is copied inside with the cell's. It does not have to do with energy (A), because the cell follows the viral genetic material.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its not B

OpenStudy (bioepic):

Why?

OpenStudy (bioepic):

OHHHHH!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (bioepic):

I didn;t read 'food'. *facepalm*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is okay thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need help with one more question

OpenStudy (bioepic):
