OpenStudy (triciaal):

what is the 2nd lowest starting price?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

initial stock price choices stock a f(x) = 25(1.08)x x = 0 so 25(1.08)^0 = 25^1.08 = 27 stock b x f(x) 0 22.00 so 22 stock c The initial price of this stock is $30,

OpenStudy (triciaal):

what is the second highest rate of growth? compare the slope of each

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uhm, im not sure. I am having a lot of difficulty with this.

OpenStudy (triciaal):

do you know how to find the slope of each?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I know that slope is rise over run..

OpenStudy (triciaal):

the slope is the change in y / change in x the highest growth rate is the one with the largest change in y for the same change in x the one with the steepest graph

OpenStudy (triciaal):

yes rise is the change in the y value and run the change in the x value

OpenStudy (triciaal):

graph for stock A find the slope graph for stock B find the slope graph for stock C find the slope compare and see which one is the 2nd steepest this will be the one for stock D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be 21.56?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

part 2 graph the function f(x) = y = mx + c y = price of Stock D m = growth rate and b = initial price

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hartnn @RedoHawk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I meant for the first question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says: 1. Create the price function for Stock D. It should have the second lowest starting price and the second highest rate of growth. Using complete sentences, justify that your function meets these requirements.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But when I look at the graph, under f(x) the 21.56 is the second lowest right? Or no?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

initial stock price choices

OpenStudy (triciaal):

27, 22, 30

OpenStudy (triciaal):

that would be right rounded 22 and you have 21.56

OpenStudy (triciaal):

i would use 22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what could I write as my justification, because it asks for a justification.

OpenStudy (triciaal):

just what i did state the prices stock a, stock b, stock c state the stipulation for price of stock D choose the price based on stipulation

OpenStudy (triciaal):

are you ok with part 1 and 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not with part 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tester97

OpenStudy (tester97):

sorry i cant remember this

OpenStudy (triciaal):

repost. graph for stock A find the slope graph for stock B find the slope graph for stock C find the slope compare and see which one is the 2nd steepest this will be the one for stock D

OpenStudy (triciaal):

graph A when x =1 what is the price ? when x = 2 what is the price ? when x = 3 what is the price?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

graph B plot the points given

OpenStudy (triciaal):

Graph C price it has been increasing 4% each day. percent means per 100 slope is 4/100 = 1/25

OpenStudy (triciaal):

you have 3 graphs compare and see which one is the 2nd steepest this will be the one with the slope for stock D

OpenStudy (triciaal):

are you ready for part 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iPwnBunnies

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need help with Part 2 still
