as we all know that earth has more radius than moon and it revolves around the earth and also rotates around itself but as moon has a smaller radius its mass is also small as compared to earth so it should rotate faster than earth and it should have been visible to us in this case but why is it not possible???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The rotation is not all that fast i guess :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but the mass is less and radius also so it should

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohw wait.. i just googled it :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow.. cool.. i never knew about this concept!! now it makes sense right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i read it but not understood

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The rotation period of the moon is exactly the same as the revolution.. so.. |dw:1404836677502:dw| so you see.. in this pic.. the dot side is ALWAYS seen .. and the far side which i reprsent using a curvy shape.. will always be hidden from us.. the lines i drew is the line along the radius of the earth
