there are 6*6 possible outcomes (the sample space) the favourable outcomes are 1,1 1,2 2,1
you can list the sample space first consider possible outcomes including the '1': 1,1 1,2 1,3 1,4 1,5 1,6 and 2,1 3,1 4,1 5,1 6,1 then write 2,2 2,3 etc
