Dias, himself, because he found new trade routes to Asia and made a fortune Spanish explorers, because they realized there were several routes to reach Asia Vasco da Gama, because he used the route around the Cape of Good Hope and reached India King Manual I, because he sponsored Columbus’ travels and established trade with Asia Catholic missionaries, because they were able to go around Africa to spread Christianity
