The 15th amendment made it possible for males of all races to vote. The 19th amendment made it possible for women to vote. The 26th amendment allowed people of 18 years of age or older to vote.

Amendments were needed to expand voting rights because when the constitution was created, it was susceptible to change, the founding fathers meant for amendments to be added to the constitution to make it better. People wanted more voting rights for different races, genders and ages. To top it all off it increased the amount of votes that each state had.
