Thank you. :)
Wrong in both cases. Signs of the passive voice: 1) Must have a transitive verb 2) The object of the transitive verb in the active voice, is the subject in the passive voice. 3) Often (but not always) uses a form of the verb "to be" "Rain had soaked the picnic blanket." -- not passive. The object is "basket" and it is not the subject. "Dandelion seeds drifted onto my neighbor's lawn." No transitive verb. "Drift" does not take an object. Cannot be passive voice because there is no transitive verb. "The moon lit the dark sky." The object is sky. It is not the subject. "The car had been repaired by a mechanic in the local garage." Transitive verb (repaired), check. Form of the verb to be (had been), check. The object of the active voice sentence (mechanic repaired car) is the subject (car) of the passive voice. Now try the second one yourself.
Okay, Thank you. :) @LarsEighner
