Terrible English, but b is correct as @LolWolf says. The statement, however, is atrocious and wrong. The atomic mass of isotopes do differ because they have differing numbers of neutrons. But the isotopes are not decreasing or increasing the atomic mass. The item should be taken out and shot. Please, don't tell me it was written by a native speaker. I'd like to retain some hope for humanity.
