They were not civilians, everyone older then like, twelve was mobilized. The "Innocents" were killed due to the fact that a land invasion would have cost millions of more lives

Everyone, was mobilized. which means recruited, if they died by the bomb, then it was for the same reason

Oh wow, is this what you learn in the US @Wolfboy ?
They were killed for no reason because the war would have ended within half a year, but Truman wanted to give a silent threat to the Soviet, as tensions were already rising between communists and capitalists. There was no real, valid reasons to hurt Hiroshima and Nagasaki to such an extent, other than showing that the US was a superpower.
Also, they did not give sufficient warning to Japan before they threw the bombs. If they had, a lot of innocent lives would have been saved.
And lastly, what they don't teach in American schools, they threw the bombs to justify nearly two million spent on their manufacture.
Even many of the scientists who created the bombs were ashamed of the actions taken. Hope that answers your question @magbak

Actually, it wouldn't have. I don't know where you got your references. But it is true that lives of Americans would be lost, but not to the extent that the Japanese lost.

Oh god... you do know we are talking about the end of the war right? The Germans had surrendered, as had the Italians. America had bombed thousands of towns. I'm not only blaming the US, mind, it was a world war and all the allies were involved. But the US hadn't consulted its allies beforehand on the bombing, so it sorta is there single handed fault. But if you do not support what they said then use what @Wolfboy said. Both have valid points in my opinion.
