marriage is private life is a story representing two phases of society.
1.older generation bound by tradition.
2.new generation don't believe in them.
there some similarities and differences between today's generation's attitudes toward love and marriage and those of the generation before . the story represents younger generation as Nnaemeka and older generation in form of Okeke. the story tries to convey that marriage today is totally private affair.
two basic themes are------
1.Rigid tradition versus personal freedom.
2.Love conquers all.
In prevailing system, parent chooses their children life partner. but personal freedom of children comes in between the choice of their parent which leads to conflict.
But at last love conquers all.
