Tangent line problem

OpenStudy (precal):

OpenStudy (precal):

key states it is C

geerky42 (geerky42):

what is slope? aka \(f'(3)\)?

OpenStudy (precal):

2

OpenStudy (precal):

I wrote down 0, I was looking at the graph of f(x) but now I see my graph is f ' (x) ok thanks....

OpenStudy (precal):

It is C

geerky42 (geerky42):

funny, C is not right, unless im missing sometihng...

geerky42 (geerky42):

@ganeshie8 any idea?

geerky42 (geerky42):

@TuringTest @texaschic101 @Compassionate

OpenStudy (precal):

The graph given is f ' (x)

geerky42 (geerky42):

ohh, right... so you can see that f(3) = 2

geerky42 (geerky42):

damn f'(3) = 2**

OpenStudy (precal):

I always have to remind myself that I am looking at f ' (x) and not f(x)

geerky42 (geerky42):

Use this formula: \[y-y_1 = m(x-x_1)\] we got slope, now what's left is point. do you know how to find it?

OpenStudy (precal):

yes, I know how to sub into the formula, thanks

geerky42 (geerky42):

welcome :)
