the surface areas of 2 similar solids are 81 and 324. The volume of the smaller solid is 12. what is the volume of the larger solid? round your answer to the nearest tenths place.

The surface areas of solids gives the squared ratios of the solids. In order to find out the solid's volumes, you need to get back to the similarity ratio, which is a 1:1. Area is squared:squared, and volume is cubed:cubed. Take the square root of 81/324 to find the solids' similarity ratio, like this:
