What is the 6th term of the geometric sequence where a1 = -4,096 and a4 = 64?

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

The n-th term of the geometric sequence is given by: \[\Large a_n=a_1r^{n-1} \] You are given \(\Large a_4\) and \(\large a_1\), so plug those into the formula. You will then be able to find \(\large r\). Once you have that, you will be able to find the 6th term (i.e. \(\Large a_6\)) using the formula above.

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

\[\Large a_4=a_1r^{4-1} \]
