soccer players expectations: 

for the ncaa division one u must have a 2.3 grade average in all of your core classes 

the basic college soccer player must be able to handle stress from the press locally and nationally 

also must be able to maintain required gpa from the scholarship he obtains 

and the expectations that also follow comes down to the coach whether getting the program out of academic probation or just win a couple of games or win national titles 

and the last expectation for a soccer player or at the top flight to be succesful is to complete the 10,000 hour training rule from when there a kid until they reach the end of high school now to get there would require u to train 3 hours each day as a youth

this info comes from the ncaa rules and regulations handbook and some small info here and there from soccer camps i have been to along the way
