OpenStudy (luigi0210):

How would I convert polar coordinates into rectangular coordinates?

OpenStudy (phi):

the conversions are x= r cos \( \theta\) y= r sin θ r= \( \sqrt{x^2+y^2} \) I would divide both sides by r as a first step: \[ 1 = \frac{32}{3r+5r \sin \theta} \]

OpenStudy (phi):

then replace r sin θ with y and r with sqr(x^2+y^2) maybe you can then play with the equation to make it look nicer.
