hartnn (hartnn):

can you find slope of line with points (0,6) and (-2,0) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

hartnn (hartnn):

and the slope of perpendicular line ? can u find that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

hartnn (hartnn):

what slope did u get for (0,6) and (-2,0) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Y=1x+ whatever letter i can use in this equation.

hartnn (hartnn):

slope is a number which you can find using this formula : The slope of the line through points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is given by : \(\huge m=\frac{y_1-y_2}{x_1-x_2}\) now, just put the values and find m. plug in x1=0, y1= 6 x2 =-2, y2=0 in it and find 'm'

0-6 -2-0

B?

hartnn (hartnn):

yep, B is correct :)
