The small intestine is the pathway for chyme. What else does it do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.mixes food with gastric juices using layers of muscle B.absorbs water, salt, and minerals using villi C.produces vitamins and feces D.produces digestible-sized food for the stomach

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Gabebro13 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D or A?

OpenStudy (bioepic):

The small intestine is after the stomach in the digestive system, so the food will already be mixed up.

OpenStudy (bioepic):

So it's not A.

OpenStudy (bioepic):

And it's not D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wanna take it from here @BioEpic ??

OpenStudy (bioepic):

Sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the small intestine where feces is formed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

& thanks anyways @Gabebro13

OpenStudy (bioepic):

The large intestine is where feces is formed, because the pasty/liquidy mixture is made solid by absorption of liquids, thus forming feces.

OpenStudy (bioepic):

So which answer is left?

OpenStudy (bioepic):

B!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, thank you so much!

OpenStudy (bioepic):

No problem!
