Describe two types of drugs and the negative impact the abuse of these drugs can have on a person’s health
1. Weed creates large holes in your brain over time. 2. Meth deteriates and rots your body from the inside out and causes severe brain damage, along with damage of everything else. It just tears you up.
THC and its metabolites binds to the CB1 receptors of the brain, which then break down and produce the inherent "high" feeling that you get if you have it in your system in enough quantity. The CB1 receptors, when they break down, appear as empty regions in MRI scans in your brain, though over a small amount of time, naturally grow back and the "holes" in your brain that were there seemingly seem to be filled again, for no apparent reason, other than the fact that the CB1 receptors grew back.
