i think the -2 is positive but i dont know about the 1 because the negative sign is only on top

Okay, anything divided by one is itself, so they are all the same... As long as the negative isn't on the bottom.

If it were to be -(2x-1)/1 the final answer would be 1-2x.
It all really depends on which level of math you are doing.

i wouldnt know to go over left or over right if negative was on top and bottom was positive
