OpenStudy (anonymous):

would those be considered the same thing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or the second would be considered positive 1 and top is negative and for third one entire problem is negaitve?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why do you think the second one is positive?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think the -2 is positive but i dont know about the 1 because the negative sign is only on top

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, anything divided by one is itself, so they are all the same... As long as the negative isn't on the bottom.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually hold on..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think u are right too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it were to be -(2x-1)/1 the final answer would be 1-2x. It all really depends on which level of math you are doing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its for a graph http://i.imgur.com/tD82xin.png i was just thinking in theory if the negative sign was on top

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wouldnt know to go over left or over right if negative was on top and bottom was positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH! okay...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In that case you would go down and left. However, you could go reverse and do up and left as well.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But.. I guess that really doesn't matter in this case.. lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

makes sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, I hope you've got it now. Good luck!
