I have tried to do this question a million times. I've tried elimination, and using matrices and I have absolutely no idea what the answers are. Here's the question: Solve the system of equations. 3x + 4y =8 -2x + 5y = 3 The answers I got are y = 25/23 and x = 28/23, which don't sound right at all. But no matter how many times I try this question, I get the same answers. Am I doing something wrong?
Use the addition method...it's the easiest way.
I haven't learned the addition method, I don't think.. How do you do it?
The idea is to make either the x's or the y's have the same coefficient, but one of them has to be negative and one of them has to be positive.
Watch and I will do my best to illustrate so you can learn it somewhat. Ok?
Oh yeah, that's what the elimination method is. I know how to do that, and I did it for these equations, but it doesn't work out :/
