Find the number of permutations in the word "circus".

So I already did this....I got 720, but the answer is wrong. is it because there are two "c's?"

That's very likely. Unless you're explicitly told to treat all Cs as distinct letters, than you use the multinomial formula:
\[\text{no. of perms}=\frac{6!}{2!}\approx \frac{\text{total permutations}}{\text{repeated permutations}}\]
