As you may know, funding has become a genuine issue for educational systems around the country. Many curriculums thought to be “nonessential,” such as physical education, art, music, etc., have been cut due to funding shortages.

Imagine that there is debate as to whether Honors programs are essential to the learning process. At the end of this lesson, you will have a chance to voice your opinion as to the importance of Honors curricula in education as a summative task to your Algebra 2, Segment One Honors Project.

This is a summative project that will bring together topics from various points in Segment One, as well as new material learned in this lesson. You are encouraged to review previous modules before working on the project.

You may choose various forms of media to deliver your project. You may use a text document, a slide-show presentation, a movie, etc. Be creative, but make sure you completely address each of the five tasks listed throughout the lesson.
