comic b will perform last and comic a will perform first

there are six stand up comics A, B, C, D, E and F. Find the probability that Comic B will perform last and comic A will perform first?

OpenStudy (aum):

First place can be filled in 6 different ways, and having done that, the second place can be filled in 5 different ways, ..... So total number of possibilities is: 6! If the first place is filled by A and the last is placed by B, there will be 4 positions in the middle that can be filled in 4! ways. Therefore, the probability is 4! / 6! = 1 / (6*5) = 1/30
