How did you get 113?lilia

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same question as jim because you have to explain why and how you got your answer..

$2\pi*2*9 =113.097$

OpenStudy (jim_thompson5910):

That covers the lateral side But what about the top and bottom?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well the total would be 226... but that's not an option :/

Double that to get ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did and got 25.14 , so I added 25.14+113= 138.14 That is also an option :/

OpenStudy (jim_thompson5910):

but it's very close to 138.3

OpenStudy (jim_thompson5910):

so maybe there's a bit of round off error

OpenStudy (jim_thompson5910):

I'm getting 2*pi*2^2+2*pi*2*9 = 138.23007675795 which is also close to 138.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Weird.. So for sure the final answer wouldn't be 113 ?

OpenStudy (jim_thompson5910):

definitely not 113

Is there any possible way you could get 163.4 or 153.4 ??

OpenStudy (jim_thompson5910):

I don't think so since I got 2*pi*2^2+2*pi*2*9 = 138.23007675795

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, so did I .. I think that's the answer; it's the only logical one.

OpenStudy (jim_thompson5910):

yeah I agree
