Let f(x) = -4x + 7 and g(x) = 2x - 6. Find.http://caoc1111-rusdss-ccl.gradpoint.com/Resource/4129473,7B0,0,0,0,0,0/Assets/testitemimages/algebra_2b/inverse_functions/mc020-1.jpg A. 23 B. 0 C. -4 D. 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g of f, basically means g(f(x)), does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[g(f(x)) = 2(-4x+7)-6\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now just substitute 1 into the equation for g(f(1))

OpenStudy (apolloschariot):

You can do that or simplify the equation out and then substitute the 1 into the equation for g(f(1)). I find that it's less confusing that way
