OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

What causes acid rain? What is the effect of acid rain on natural habitats? Give an example

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

rainfall made so acidic by atmospheric pollution that it causes environmental harm, chiefly to forests and lakes. The main cause is the industrial burning of coal and other fossil fuels, the waste gases from which contain sulphur and nitrogen oxides which combine with atmospheric water to form acids.

so i just need the second part

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

do you know of any examples and their environmental implications?

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

@tanya123 @dan815

OpenStudy (tanya123):

The most obvious environmental effect of acid rain has been the loss of fish in acid sensitive lakes and streams.
