does any one know were to get clay really cheap and lots of it?

Michaels and Jo Anns both do a 40% off coupon once a month. get on their mailing lists. (good for large blocks.) Also both will do 50% off clay sales a few times a year. (I go a little insane stocking up when they do that.)
BUT... be warned. They OFTEN have old clay. Give each package a squeeze. If it's rock hard, put it back. The time you waste trying to condition it won't be worth the little you saved.
