Which of the following ordered pairs is the solution to the system of linear equations? x + y = 14, 2x + y = 24 (7, 7) (3, 11) (6, 12) (10, 4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, to find this out, you could use the substitution method. o-o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o-o I just started this module...I have no idea :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh xD WELL. For the first equation, Solve for x c:

uuuum 7 e.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the Y value, i got 4 xD and theres only one answer that gives you a Y value of 4 ;o

OpenStudy (igreen):

No, you gotta solve for \(x\) and rearrange: \(x + y = 14\) Get \(x\) by itself on one side of the equal sign: Subtract y: \(x = -y + 14\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What he Said, But i already solved it ;o (10,4). Thanks Green c:

OpenStudy (igreen):

Lol, yeah..the easy way is to graph it: https://www.desmos.com/calculator
