This is actually the field that I work in. The biggest evidence for the Big Bang is the Cosmic Microwave Backround Radiation, usually called the CMBR or CMB. It's radiation that comes at us from all directions, at basically the same frequency (there are some slight variations, which we look at to try to figure out other things).
