Will give medal. c: Solve for x: −5|x + 1| = 10

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Divide both sides by -5 |x+1| = -2 If you're familiar with how absolute value works, you would know that anything equal to an absolute value function should be positive. Absolute value is the distance from 0, which is always positive. Since |x+1| cannot equal -2, since -2 is negative, there is no solution.
