A bag has 2 green marbles, 3 red marbles, and 3 yellow marbles. What is the probability that you pick a green marble, do not replace it, and pick a red marble? 1/8, 1/28, 9/56, 3/28 I'm gonna ask a few q's like this because I have dyscalculia which is a learning disability where I can't manipulate numbers well and I have an EXTREMELY tough time with fractions so please bear with me

Yes I am currently trying to get better at fractions but they just don't click for me :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what have you got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know the first thing is gonna be 2/8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the prob. of selecting first green marble is 2/8 and since you are not replacing so now you have only 7 marbles in the bag and hence the prob of selecting red marbles now is 3/7 so reqd prob will be 2/8 *3/7 3/28

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dont have to reduce anything down?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/8 *3/7 = 3/28
