The nodal musculature in our heart is described as auto-excitable. Justify the statement

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The heart has something called SA node or Sino-atrial node in the right atrium, it produces a tiny electrical charge periodically and this makes the heart beat so it is "auto-excitable" meaning it does not require something from outside the heart to make it beat! However, it can change due to hormones released from the other parts of the body. Hope this helps :)
