Modify the procedure of Gauss to find the sum.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

which sum ? @Kainui

OpenStudy (kainui):

What's the sum? I can help you modify it. =P

OpenStudy (blackstreet23):

1+2+3+...+175

OpenStudy (kainui):

Ok, well Gauss' method is to just add up the sum forwards and backwards like this: |dw:1405185179424:dw| So you just add the sum to itself backwards and you notice that you are really adding up the same number 175 times. \[\Large 2S=176*175\] So now you can divide this by 2 to get the sum!
