Which choice best captures the meaning of the word “owned” as it is used in the following passage from “One Art”? I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster, / some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent. A. bought and paid for B. ruled over politically C. was the only resident of D. felt strongly attached to I chose C and got it wrong! :/

Can you help @Whitemonsterbunny17

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

I believe B. is correct, because it starts, they have lost two lovely cities, but they own some realms, two rivers, and a continent. Due to them owning a continent, it has to be something they rule over politically.
