Love is many things; it is what keeps people close, what gives us the drive to do extraordinary things... Love is when you put the well-being of another before your own.

Love is the opposite of hate.

Love is what drives our passion.

Love is attraction.

And finally, love is what makes us human.

With that said, take the first theory I stated.. Matter. What drives it to come together in union to form objects? Attraction. Then, remember, love IS attraction. If that attraction didn't exist, nether would you or I. Or anything for that matter.
Without love, our parents wouldn't have been attracted to... Eh... Well, we wouldn't have been born. Without love, our mothers and fathers would not have cared to make sure we were fed, or clean, they wouldn't have cared to even show us how to eat or survive. We likely wouldn't even survive a week on our own without love.
Love is determination. Have you ever been determined to do something? Well you wouldn't have had any success with that if you weren't determined to do it in the first place. Without love, we'd have no determination, no motivation to do anything.

Without love, NOTHING would happen. It would be.... Nothingness.. No life, no creatures, no planets...... Nothing.

The only real difference is their names and they way we use those feelings. We use love to do good things (most of the time) and hate to do bad things (again, most of the time) Now what if we got them together, and had no problem with the two being together? If I love you and I hate you, I am not really going to do anything for you, due to the hatred within. Love and hate are opposites, they cannot both be in possession at the same time. It just doesn't work that way.

Because as of now, I am quite angry at someone, someone I have both love and hate for, but if that individual were in need of help, my love would take over, and I would help. If they said or did something offensive, my hate would take over.

I see what you are trying to say but it doesn't add up. If you have your hate side take over you will not just easily forgive them. It is VERY TRUE. I have it for my mom. I love her as a mother and when she does nice things. I want to take care of her and make her feel better. BUT most of the time she does something offensive. I don't care. My hate takes over.
