-21y + 21 + 8y = -5

y = -26/-13
y = 2
now sub 2 in for y in either equation to find x
-2x + 6y = 6
-2x + 6(2) = 6
-2x + 12 = 6
-2x = 6 - 12
-2x = -6
x = 3

-2x + 6y = 6
-2(3) + 6(2) = 6
-6 + 12 = 6
6 = 6 (correct)

x = 3 and y = 2
