Sharon went to solve the following system and her steps are shown. Was she correct? If not, which step is incorrect and why?

x - y = 9

x + y = 15

Step One: Add the systems: 2x = 26

Step Two: Solve for x: x = 13

Step Three: Solve for y: 13 + y = 15 so y = 2

she was not correct for step one because 15+9=24 not 26
