OpenStudy (bbb911):

Determine whether the graphs of the given pair of lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither: 2x-5y=-3 2x+5y=4

OpenStudy (nikato):

can you find the slope of each lines?

OpenStudy (bbb911):

no i can't i have two hours to do 15 questions i m trying to speed it up. ill give a medal and a fan

OpenStudy (nikato):

sorry. i cant tell you the answer directly. but if you're actually willing to do the problem, i'll be glad to guide you through

OpenStudy (bbb911):

i don't have time thats the thing

OpenStudy (nikato):

ok. i'll help you as quickly as i can

OpenStudy (nikato):

standard form is Ax +By=C which is what you're equations are written in

OpenStudy (nikato):

and the slope is -A/B which means one has a slope of 2/5 and the other is -2/5

OpenStudy (nikato):

and remember parallel lines have the same slope and perpendicular lines are negative recipricol. since theyre not the same or negative reciprol, the two lines are neither

OpenStudy (bbb911):

thank you i get it now :)

OpenStudy (nikato):

you're a fast reader. and you're welcome

OpenStudy (bbb911):

yea i love to read :)

OpenStudy (nikato):

cool. and are the other 15 questions similar to this? because if they are, im pretty sure you can finish them within 2 hours

OpenStudy (bbb911):

yea kinda yea hope so

OpenStudy (nikato):

just let me know if you have any more problems you need help on then
