Identify the GCF of 6x^2y^2 - 8xy^2 + 10xy^3. 6x^2y^2 2x^2y 2xy^2 6xy^2

@Elsa213 @LearningIsAwesome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is GCF?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is a pre module assessment BTW. Not an exam.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

what is gcf of 6, 8, 10?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have no clue what GCF even is. Like I said, this is a pre module assessment @zzr0ck3r I'm not supposed to know any of this but I'd still like to do well on it.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

the largest number that will divide all 3 numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So in the case of 6, 8, 10 it would be 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Elsa213 Fan me. :)

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

yes

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

the biggest power of x that is each term is x^1 = x and the biggest power of y that is in every term is y^2 so gcf = 2xy^2 make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I'm still completely confused.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@BassCatcher15 pretests you're not supposed to get help on!!!! it's just to test your knowledge on the material before you learn it all, it's against the rules to get help with it. You can just guess all of them if you dont know it hardly counts toward your final grade

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

good call, if you get help on this, you are screwed when they place you, and you will waste you money failing a class
