What is the measure of AC? (Arc)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be double the angle?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Arc AC is the arc intercepted by angle B which is an inscribed angle. The measure of an inscribed angle is half the measure of its intercepted arc. So if the angle is 48, then its intercepted arc is twice that.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yep, by the inscribed angle theorem

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Angle CBA is an inscribed angle it cuts off arc AC doubling the measure of angle CBA gets you the measure of arc AC (inscribed angle theorem)
