So let's look at all the operations on the functions. The y-translation in the first is -2 The y-translation in the second is +7 This is not common to both! What translation, stretch, or operation is the same for both functions?

OpenStudy (zab505):

D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why do you say D?

OpenStudy (zab505):

Not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well what are we multiplying the first equation by (what is out in front)? 1/2 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that the same as what we are doing to the second one?

OpenStudy (zab505):

I think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well it's not A, nor B, nor C, nor D from what I can tell! I must be doing something wrong, I apologize.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Vertical shift is not the same: Not A They do not have the same end behavior: Not B They do not have the same Horizontal Translation: Not C And they do not have the same Vertical Stretch: Not D I am really not sure where I have gone wrong here...

OpenStudy (zab505):

huh?
