An equation is shown below:
9x - y = -2
Part A: Explain how you will show all of the solutions that satisfy this equation. (4 points)
Part B: Determine three different solutions for this equation. (4 points)
Part C: Write an equation that can be paired with the given equation in order to form a system of equations that is inconsistent. (2 points)
OpenStudy (math&ing001):
All the solution can be represented by the line whose equation is y=9x+2 equivalent to 9x - y = -2.
OpenStudy (camerondoherty):
Oh i know how to do part A and B i just need help with C... sry...
OpenStudy (math&ing001):
Great ! For part C, you should find the equation of a line parallel to the one represented by your equation.
OpenStudy (math&ing001):
That way the lines don't intersect, which means no solution to the system.

I still dont get it...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no solution exist
OpenStudy (anonymous):
that's what I said. 2 parallel lines won't have any of the same sol. because they don't intersect
OpenStudy (anonymous):
find any equation with same slope
OpenStudy (camerondoherty):
Wait how do i make the equ though...

Ok, lets take any system of equations. there are 3 scenarios:|dw:1405272651325:dw|
OpenStudy (camerondoherty):
Ohhhh ok so its any equation with the same slope?
OpenStudy (math&ing001):
Yep !
OpenStudy (camerondoherty):
Oh gawsh im so stupid xD
OpenStudy (camerondoherty):
Thanks Guyz
