Need help with statistics... given a data set of age, how do I compute the probability of randomly selecting between two ages? I have 20 ages, the question wants me to find the probability of selecting between ages 21-30

You could expect any one person of any age to have a 1/20 probability of being selected, so to find the probability of selecting all people that fall in a particular range, you would have \[\frac{\text{number of people in desired range}}{\text{total people}}=\frac{x}{20}\] where \(x\) is the number of people between 21 and 30 (exclusively, by the looks of it, unless 'between' means 'between and including')

thanks!
